Aolani Sanchez

C. Aolani Sanchez is Chumash, O'odham, and Rarámuri respectfully residing on the homelands of the Tongva people. Aolani is a song-keeper and song-maker, and a Šmuwič language student. Born into a family of storytellers, artists, language activists, and medicine-keepers, Aolani grew up surrounded with these experiences and has dedicated themselves to carry on their family’s commitment to preserve the culture, language, and ways of being.
